He recognized that the development of innovation has been lacking. “Because there is creativity and inventiveness in young Mexicans and in our country.”
Before students, the president of Mexico recalled that one of her dreams as president is for Mexico to be a scientific and technological power.
“That in Mexico there is also technological sovereignty. We are a country open to the world and of course there is a lot of technology in many places in the world that must be part of our development; but the question is why we have not been able to generate great innovations and technological developments for the country? That is why I decided that we were going to have some flagship projects, so there is the Olinia project.”
He also said, “we are going to make a Mexican satellite, a small satellite that we do not have to be acquiring images elsewhere, but rather a Mexican satellite that we can launch and from there a forward development will be generated, it is already quite advanced and the other, an unmanned vehicle, that is, a drone, but that will help us with all issues, from security issues to issues of development, surveillance, even mobility,” he reported.
