The districts of Viseu, Leiria, Coimbra, Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto and Aveiro are this Friday, November 7, under yellow warning due to the forecast of sometimes heavy rain, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
The warning for the districts of Viseu, Leiria and Coimbra will be between 09:00 and 15:00, in Viana do Castelo and Braga until 09:00 and in Porto and Aveiro until 12:00 due to the rain, sometimes heavy, and may be accompanied by thunder.
The IPMA also placed Porto, Faro, Setúbal, Viana do Castelo, Lisbon, Leiria, Beja, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga under yellow warning between 12:00 on Saturday and 00:00 on Sunday due to sea unrest, with northwest waves measuring 4 to 4.5 meters being expected.
The yellow warning is issued by IPMA when there is a risk situation for certain activities depending on the meteorological situation.
The IPMA forecasts generally very cloudy skies on the continent today, rain turning into showers, sometimes heavy on the coast north of Cabo Carvoeiro, more intense wind in the highlands and coastal strip and a small increase in temperature.
Minimum temperatures will range between 6 degrees Celsius (in Guarda) and 14 (in Lisbon, Setúbal and Aveiro) and maximum temperatures between 10 degrees (in Guarda) and 22 (in Faro).
