Attendees at a wedding held in the municipality of Ahome, Sinaloa, were evacuated due to an ammonia gas leak.
The escape was caused by the detachment of a wet nurse in an agricultural field of the Lousiana ejido, located to the west of the municipality, so the wedding guests had to leave the party hall known as “Quinta Cortez.”
The dense cloud that spread very slowly due to the drop in temperatures caused discomfort and headaches to the residents of this ejido and nearby towns.so rescue teams had to intervene to locate the accident site.

Through social networks, those attending a wedding celebration in one of the party halls in that area were the first to notice the strong smell, so they requested the presence of the emergency and traffic forces to control the vehicle traffic that was generated.
According to the report that was known, field workers who were carrying out sowing had an accident when the hose came off the nurse, a failure that they could not repair due to the release of the highly toxic substance, so they left the place.
The dense cloud that was generated in that ejido reached the towns of Nueve de Diciembre and a nearby residential area, without reports of intoxicated people, given that all the gas contained in the nurse leaked.
The staff of the Municipal Civil Protection Coordination of Ahome began the technical review of the suckler and the permits for its mobilization and use in agriculture, given the accident that caused alarm.
