The Italians Mind Enterprises make their debut in Portugal this week, with concerts in Lisbon and Porto and they do so at a stage in their career when everything seems to happen at the same time: sold out venues across Europe, millions of views accumulated on videos made in the kitchen or on the balcony of their small apartment and a crescendo of international attention that, suddenly, puts the duo at the forefront of the global reinvention of italo disco. Coming to LAV, in Lisbon (Wednesday), and Outsite Mouco, in Porto (Thursday), is yet another sign of public confirmation that Andrea Tirone and Serafino La Marra’s band belongs, at this moment, to that category of artists much more committed to dictating trends than joining any ‘scene’. “We are experiencing a moment of great intensity. The European dates are all sold out”, they tell BLITZ, with the disarming naturalness of someone who realizes that the phenomenon has already surpassed their own intentions.
