‘The Business of Urban Wine Tourism’, ‘The Pleasures of Wine and Wine Tourism’, ‘They Talk: the Power of Women in Wine Tourism’ or ‘Aromas and Flavors in an Urban Cellar in Lisbon’ are the focus of conversations about wine tourism and one of the highlights of Lisbon Urban Wine Tourism, an event dedicated to urban wine tourism scheduled for this Friday, December 12th.

The moment was designed to create a space for relaxed and informative dialogue, where each guest shares their vision about the growing role of wine tourism in cities and the way in which wine is integrated into everyday urban life.

“The Talks are an excellent opportunity to learn about innovative projects, inspiring stories and experiences that put Lisbon on the map of national and international urban wine tourism”, highlights Carla Salsinha, President of the Lisbon Regional Tourism Authority. “With this series of conversations we want to show the diversity, creativity and strength of urban wine tourism in Portugal, and how it brings wine closer to people, culture and the city”, adds Maria João de Almeida, president of APENO.

In addition to the cycle of Wine Tourism and Wine Talks, which takes place in the Beato Innovation District, in the former Fábrica do Pão, between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm, where renowned journalists, sector protagonists and public figures debate trends, challenges and the future of this segment, the program includes several other activities.

Music, tastings and historic vineyards

The Urban Wine Tourism party takes place between 5pm and midnight, with tastings, interactive experiences, games, pastimes and musical moments — including a DJ set by special guest Fernando Alvim, between 9pm and midnight.

In parallel, there will also be an Open Day at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia, with visits to historic vineyards. The program, which requires prior registration at the site da APENOincludes guided visits to the ISA vineyard and cellar, with tasting of the wine produced there, led by experts and students of master’s degree from ISA. Visits take place from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm and from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, visiting the vineyards and the winery. Each session is limited to a maximum of 25 participants and costs €30.

Lisbon Wine Tourism is promoted by the Regional Tourism Entity of the Lisbon Region (ERT-Lisboa) and designed and produced by the Portuguese Wine Tourism Association (APENO). Tickets are available at ticketline and cost €12 per person.
