A Ukrainian delegation held talks with European security authorities in Geneva this Saturday, according to Andriy Yermak, Volodymyr Zelensky’s chief of staff. “In general, a series of meetings in various formats are planned for today.” A meeting with the US delegation was also planned.

The German Chancellor, Friedrich Merz, admitted to being “skeptical” regarding the possibility of an agreement for Ukraine being reached by the deadline of Thursday, set by Donald Trump. “I remain, I don’t want to say, pessimistic, but I remain unconvinced that the solutions desired by President Trump will be achieved in the coming days,” declared Merz at the G20 summit in Johannesburg. “President Trump’s plan is to reach a conclusion on Thursday, but we are still far from that… I am skeptical about the possibility of such an outcome, given the current disagreements.”
The President of Ukraine admitted that the American plan to end the war with Russia could include “Ukrainian perspectives”, after meetings in Switzerland between Ukrainians, Americans and Europeans. “It appears that American proposals may include a number of elements based on Ukrainian perspectives and essential to Ukraine’s national interests,” Zelensky wrote on the X social network.
