After the presentation of the latest version of the Chat GPTGPT 5, in August, OpenAI, the company that owns the artificial intelligence tool, now announces a new update – GPT 5.1.
The new version will be divided into two models: GPT 5.1 Instant, the most conventional, which will now be able to respond to questions more complex tasks while maintaining speed, and GPT 5.1 Thinking, which adapts the “thinking” time in order to respond to more complex tasks with greater clarity and rigor.
According to a statement from OpenAInot disclosed websitethe update will first reach users who subscribe to the service (Pro, Plus, Go, Business) and only then to users of the free plan.
The platform also announces that new features will include greater control of the tom and the personality of the chatbotwhich can be configured by the user to become more “friendly”, “efficient”, “professional”, “sincere” or “eccentric”.
In addition to these advances, OpenAI also revealed that it is testing a new utility, which will allow users to bring together other people and ChatGPT in one chat group. “Plan trips, make decisions and collaborate on projects together, while ChatGPT helps you research, summarize and generate content”, says the technologist.
The function has already started to be presented in New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, so the data collected through these first uses will be used to “improve the experience” before it is extended to more regions.
