Trovante are Posto Emissor’s most recent guests. On the BLITZ podcast, Luís Represas, João Gil and Manuel Faria told the genesis of ‘Timor’, a song included on the 1990 album “Um Destes Dias…”, which became one of the group’s most emblematic songs.
‘Timor’ would end up becoming a “very strong moment” in the Trovante show, especially after the Santa Cruz Massacre, perpetrated by the Indonesian army in 1991. “RTP put it in the background, in a live broadcast. That glued it to that fight”.
“I always say this: we didn’t do misfortune merchandising, the song was never a single.” At one point, “João Monge calls me, crying, saying that the children in Almada are singing our song. That’s when the process began.”
Trovante will return to the stage in March 2026, for four concerts between Lisbon and Porto: on March 20th and 21st at Meo Arena, and on March 27th and 28th at Super Bock Arena.
