How many monsters does it take to scare a child? And to make you laugh? Mike Wazowski and Randall Boggs are leading experts on the subject. Released in 2002, Monsters and Company follows the story of Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan (Sully), two monsters who work at the Monstropolis energy factory, where the city’s electricity is generated from the screams of human children.
When a girl, Boo, accidentally enters the world of monsters, everything gets complicated. Mike and Sully discover that perhaps laughter is much more powerful than scares and, in the meantime, they need to face Randall’s plan, who prefers to keep his reign of scaring children ongoing.

João Baião is Mike. As a child, he played football, practiced competitive gymnastics, but it was performing arts where he discovered himself. Later, he ended up being invited to audition for the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II, in Lisbon, for the show Mãe Coragem, having won the role.
Invited by João Lourenço and Irene Cruz, João Baião is part of the cast of Novo Grupo, at Teatro Aberto. At the same time, he began to play small roles in television series. Today, João Baião is a well-known face among the Portuguese, being, alongside Diana Chaves, one of the figures on the SIC program A Casa Feliz
In the dubs, in addition to the famous green monster, João Baião also voices characters such as: Medo, (Inside Out) Fearless Smurf (The Smurfs) or Horton (Horton Hears a Who).
Paulo Oom was one of the founders of Grupo Teatroesfera, with which he opened the first Theater in Portugal in the 21st century in 2001. In the world of arts since 1984, in addition to his work as an actor, Paulo Oom has become an unavoidable name in the area of dubbing, both as a dubber and as a director.
With 30 years in the field, the characters that make up Paulo Oom’s resume of voices are vast, numbering more than hundreds. Among them are the voices of Puss in Boots, Pinocchio, (Shrek) Grinch and Bugs Bunny.
