Foo Fighters will perform at NOS Alive 2026.
The North American band, led by Dave Grohl, takes the main stage of the Passeio Marítimo de Algés festival on July 10th next year.
In October, they announced their return to music with a new single, titled ‘Asking for a Friend’ and a US stadium tour with Queens of the Stone Age.
The Foo Fighters have been away from the stage since September 2024after Grohl confirmed that he would have a child out of wedlock. The return took place on September 13th of this year, the date on which the band gave a surprise concert at the Freemont Theater, in San Luis Obispo, California (USA), the first with the new drummer, Ilan Rubin, Josh Freese’s replacement. Foo Fighters’ latest studio album, “But Here We Are,” came out in 2023.
Grohl, it should be noted, is one of the highlights of brand new second volume of BLITZ magazine 40 years, on sale now. As a drummer for Nirvana, he gave an interview to BLITZ in 1994 that we now republish in this collector’s edition. “Nevermind”, the second album by the band led by Kurt Cobain, was voted the best international album released between 1984 and 2023 by a grand jury convened by BLITZ.
On July 10th, the second day of the festival, Foo Fighters will accompany the already announced Wolf Alice, The War on Drugs and Jehnny Beth. The Everything Is New festival takes place from the 9th to the 11th of July, and has so far confirmed the following names:
9 de julho: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Twenty One Pilots, Matt Berninger, Dogstar
10 de julho: Foo Fighters, Wolf Alice, The War on Drugs, Jehnny Beth
July 11: Florence and the Machine, Lorde, Pixies, Buraka Som Sistema, Teddy Swims, Florence Road
A three-day pass for NOS Alive costs 199 euros, with two-day passes priced at 168, while daily tickets cost 84 euros (taxes are added to these values).
