“DTo work is to mutilate a work of art”, says an Internet user. “Dubling is an art!”, retorts someone below. Feelings regarding the way of consuming films are divided in the comments of a publication on the page “Europe Magazine”, which publishes colorful visualizations of various sets of statistical data. The moods towards dubbing are intense and polarized: one either loves or hates the superimposition of the original lines, in an audiovisual piece, by other actors, in another language. In this comment box there is also space for confessions: “A German friend of mine (intelligent but very young) thought that all Hollywood actors spoke perfect German. She was shocked to learn that films were dubbed.”; and vents: “The most irritating part of dubs are people who can’t stop complaining about dubs.”
