Pedro Delille resigned from defending José Sócrates, without ensuring a replacement, and the former prime minister was left without a lawyer. It was one of the few excuses left to delay the process. It was “I’m left without a lawyer” (he’s used it now) and all that’s left is: “the dog ate my file” and “I can’t go because I have my period”. The next lawyer may not yet know the process well, but they already know the client very well. “I assume he will pay me, but… It’s Sócrates, isn’t it? His friend pays for everything.”
And since we talk about using other people’s money, this week Minister Castro Almeida was asked about not using PRR money. “There is a part of the loans that we will not use, we will look for them elsewhere with cheaper interest rates”, was his response. Nobody can fool this minister, because they are from Brussels but he is from Chelas, he is sure he can get money at lower interest rates.
And returning a little to local politics, even outside of municipal campaigns: after spending so much time in restaurants, Isaltino felt like going to the bathroom. The Mayor took a tour of the municipality’s washrooms. “It was one of the things I most wanted to see. The pyramids, the Taj Mahal and lavatories. I didn’t care about the pyramids and the Taj Mahal. Now, Oeiras lavatories was my dream trip”, says Ricardo Araújo Pereira.
In the second part of the program, the comedian interviews presidential candidate Catarina Martins. Listen here to the podcast program ‘Isto é Gozar com Quem Trabalha’, broadcast on September 9th on SIC.
“Normally, the people we talk about have real jobs, unlike us. They are ministers, businessmen, bankers… Basically, what we do is make fun of those who work” RAP Listen to more episodes:
