President Donald Trump signed this Tuesday the Law that orders the disclosure of all files in the Epstein case, which forces the Department of Justice to publish the information.
Mexico City, November 19 (However).- The President of USA, Donald Trumpsigned this Wednesday the Law that orders the Department of Justice disclose the files related to the deceased businessman Jeffrey Epsteinwho was convicted of leading a network of sexual exploitation and accused of child trafficking before dying in 2019. new legislation establishes that the documents must be made public within a maximum period of 30 days.
“I just signed the bill to release Epstein’s files,” Trump announced in a post on the Truth Social network in which he insisted that the case will expose members of the Democratic Party “much more than the Republican Party.”
The president confirmed the decision after weeks of resistance, as he had initially opposed the initiative promoted by Democratic and Republican legislators. This coalition pressed for the federal government to release all the files that still remain under protection in official offices.

The legislation mandates the publication of information related to Epstein’s death and documents linked to the investigation into child abuse and trafficking. However, the Department of Justice may hide sensitive data about victims, as established.
It is worth mentioning that last week, the White House tried to stop the progress of the project, when officials summoned Republican Representative Lauren Boebert to the Situation Room to discuss the content of the proposal. As a result, the legislator maintained her support for declassification and reiterated the need to make all records of the case transparent.
The debate resurfaced days earlier, when a House committee released emails attributed to Epstein in which it stated that the current President had spent time with one of the victims and that he knew of activities linked to the exploitation network. The publication revived questions about the relationship between the magnate and Epstein.

Later, in September, Congress released more than 33,000 pages delivered by the Department of Justice in a first stage of transparency. However, most of these materials were already publicly known, which generated additional pressure to release more unpublished documents that would advance the understanding of the case.
Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in July 2019 on charges related to the abuse and trafficking of dozens of minors in the early 2000s. For years, the businessman maintained social ties with public figures such as Prince Andrew of England, Bill Clinton and Trump himself, although the President has stated that he was unaware of the financier’s illicit activities.
After Trump’s return to the White House, some political allies promoted theories suggesting a possible cover-up regarding Epstein’s death and the information contained in the federal file. These speculations increased the demand to force institutions to reveal all pending material.
Finally, the President justified his change in position by stating that he did not want the issue to divert attention from the achievements of his administration. With the signing of the Law, the Government must begin the review and dissemination of the files within the established period.
