CANCUN.- A Control Judge issued an order linking to proceedings against three men accused of their alleged participation in the crime of extortion, after the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Quintana Roo submit the corresponding test data through the Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Combating Kidnapping and Extortion Crimes.
The case is related to threats and illegal charges directed at a merchant, whose identity remains reserved.
They demanded payment of “floor rights”
According to the investigations, the events occurred on August 27 of this year, when Sergio Alejandro “N”, Ausencio “N” and Silverio “N” went to an aluminum workshop to demand that the owner a monthly payment of 2,500 pesos.
Furthermore, the defendants had threatened to return to deprive him of freedom and even attempts on his lifein case of not accessing the financial requirement.

Later, on September 15, two of those now linked, accompanied by another individual, returned to the establishment with the aim of collect the required amount.
At that time, the victim gave 1,900 pesosan amount that he managed to raise due to the fear generated by previous threats. This fact strengthened the investigation folder formed by the Prosecutor’s Office.
As a result of the investigations, a Judge authorized the corresponding arrest warrant.
Consequently, Investigative PoliceThey located and detained the three men identifiedwho were placed at the disposal of the judicial authority to face the legal process against them.
During the initial hearing, the Control Judge determined to link Sergio Alejandro “N”, Ausencio “N” and Silverio “N” to the process.
Likewise, it imposed the precautionary measure of preventive detention for a period of up to two years, or during the time that the judicial process takes place, in order to ensure the safety of the victim and the proper development of the procedure.
