TIZIMÍN.— The weekend began demolition in the Almendros Parkwhere a group of workers began the removal of floors and benches.

These works are part of a remodeling project which encompasses the construction of a new playgroundcon green areas and a more modern design.

Neighbors in the area commented that they had been informed about the work since last year. Architects even came to carry out measurements in the area.

However, in recent days the residents observed the beginning of the masonry work, as well as the unloading of construction material that intensified yesterday, Monday.

According to the workers interviewed, they belong to a Valladolid construction company and it is the same one that was in charge of the reconstruction of the 48th street playgroundat the beginning of the current administration.

They then added that the delivery date is scheduled for December 20, so they are currently focused on scarifying the land before proceeding to pour the new floors, which is what takes the most time.

The employees announced that, in addition to this work, the remodeling of the park located in the Santa Cruz neighborhood, next to the offices of the Federal Electricity Commission.
