Mexico City, November 19 (However).- The Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJCdMx) reported this Wednesday that 13 people have been linked to proceedings after the events recorded during the Generation Z march, held on November 15, and which left a balance of 84 police officers and civilians injured.

The Prosecutor’s Office indicated that among the 19 cases considered as possible crimes, a 17-year-old adolescent was identified, who was sent to the Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Justice for Adolescents. In this case, his release under family guardianship was determined after the corresponding review and the application of the measures required by the Law.
Meanwhile, the other 18 adult detainees, whose ages range between 18 and 57, were presented before a Control Judge in four initial hearings. In these proceedings, the Public Prosecutor’s Office filed charges of attempted homicide, intentional injuries, robbery and resistance by individuals.
In addition, he reported that two of the defendants have a history linked to collective attacks, one of them has been identified as the leader of a shock group with a history of participation in collective attacks.

Initial hearings
On the other hand, the judicial body indicated that, during the four initial hearings, accusations were made against the 18 adults for various crimes: three for attempted homicide, five for resistance by individuals, eight for intentional injuries and two for intentional injuries and robbery.
The result before the Control Judge was 13 people linked to the process and five people in duplication of term, with a hearing scheduled for November 21, 2025.
Due to the level of aggression attributed in each case and the risk of escape – assessed based on the elements of roots of the accused – the Prosecutor’s Office requested differentiated precautionary measures. Meanwhile, the court ruled as follows:

- Eight people with justified preventive detention, among them Eduardo Josafat “N”, Alberto “N”, Fernando “N”, Francisco “N” and Arturo Quetzal “N”.
- 10 people with precautionary measures other than prison, such as periodic presentation and prohibition of approaching the victims or the places of the events.
In this last group are Enrique “N”, Carlos Miguel “N”, Zahid “N”, José Luis “N”, Federico “N”, Perla Verónica “N”, Daniela “N” and Gabriel “N”, accused of attempted murder.
“To prove the probable responsibility for the attacks, the FGJ-CdMx has various elements of evidence, among which the direct statements of the victims stand out, who recognize the people who attacked them, as well as the police reports that describe the events witnessed by elements of the SSC and the Auxiliary Police,” the authorities indicated.
To this, according to the authorities, are added the medical opinions that specify the nature and severity of the injuries – including fractures and multiple contusions – and the expert reports on injury mechanics that confirm that they were caused by blows. In addition, there are video recordings in which the accused persons are observed at the time and place of the events, participating in attacks and, in some cases, using stones, sticks or other objects.
Until now, the judges have set a period of one to two months for the complementary investigation, depending on each case. During this period, the Prosecutor’s Office will collect more information to establish whether it is appropriate to reclassify crimes or apply alternative resolution mechanisms, such as reparation agreements, conditional suspension of the process or abbreviated procedures, in accordance with current regulations.
In parallel, the Prosecutor’s Office maintains open lines of investigation aimed at locating other possible aggressors already identified. In addition, it is checking whether there was participation of intellectual authors in the attacks that occurred during the march, for which it plans to expand proceedings in the coming days.
