VALLADOLID.— The program of the Federal Ministry of Tourism (Sectur), Comex and Corazón Urbano Foundation arrived in the city, where more than 8 thousand square meters of colonial facades will be intervened.
In a statement it is reported that the first stroke of the project, which will fill the Magic Townwas in charge of municipal president, Homero Novelo Burgos, and the state secretary of Tourism, Darío Flota Ocampoin a colonial façade on 44th Street between 39 and 37 in the Center.
Previously, the mayor highlighted that the program will bring great benefits to the city’s image.
In addition, he thanked Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena, and the state secretary of tourism, Darío Flota, for continuing to consider Valladolid in the Mayan Renaissance projects.
“We are in the best position to support and collaborate so that more programs can be consolidated in the municipality,” he said.

For his part, the state secretary of Tourism pointed out that, more than painting facades, urban spaces are being dignified, strengthening cultural identity and enriching the experience of visitors.
He also indicated that the initiative is the result of coordinated work between the federal and state governments and city councils, as well as the strategic allies Comex and the Corazón Urbano Foundation, AC.
“Let us continue working together so that each action taken strengthens the community, takes care of the heritage and improves the quality of life of the people,” he concluded.
Among the streets that will be intervened are 39 between 44 and 42, 41 between 44 and 46, 42 between 39 and 41, 39 between 44 and 46, and 41 between 44 and 42, as well as the “Donato Bates” municipal market.
Councilors from the City Council were present at the program’s opening ceremony; the director of Economic and Tourism Development of the municipality, Noah Rivero Sanchez; and the director of Public Works, Richard Moguel Chan.
