CULIACAN.- This Sunday Sinaloa authorities confirmed the murder of two young people in the sector Three Riversnear a shopping center, in Culiacán; one of them identified as “The Jerry“, content creator on social networks.
The incident occurred on Enrique Sánchez Alonso Boulevard, in the Tres Ríos Urban development, very close to the State Attorney General’s Office.
According to the report, Gerardo “N” (Jerry), 25 years old, was traveling in a van Pick upfrom the brand GMC, model Sierra gray in color, in the company of Gustavo “N”, 26 years oldwhen they attacked them with automatic weapons.
The truck was hit several times by bullets on the bodywork, windows and rims, so both young people died inside the unitalmost upon reaching the intersection of Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez Avenue, one block from the largest commercial plaza in Culiacán.
Multiple anonymous calls were received on the emergency lines about strong detonations of firearms, so personnel from the army, the National Guard and the State Police went to the site of the attack.
Gerardo “N”, alias “El Jerry”, had more than eleven thousand followers on TikTok and close to seven thousand on Instagramon his networks he shared moments of his daily life, mainly surrounded by friends and showing off high value itemssuch as brand-name cars and clothing.
Influencers murdered in Sinaloa
His death is added to that of other youtubers from the state capitalOn December 9, the social media content creator, Leobardo Aispuro Soto, known as El Gordo Peruci, was shot to death in one of the streets of the 21 de Marzo neighborhood, in the state capital. In the attack his wife was injured and was taken to the hospital.
In November 2024, they found the body of Jesús Miguel Vibanco García, 29 years old, known as “Jasper”, on a dirt road that leads to the Costa Rican receivership, in the southern area of Culiacán. “Jasper” became very popular as an influencer when share videos with Markitos Toys.
Since 2024, almost a dozen Sinaloan influencers have been murdered, after appearing on flyers that linked them to Los Chapitos.
