The incident was partially captured by a neighbor’s security cameras, where the subjects can be seen dragging the unit before starting it and fleeing.

Nancy Cutiz Pech, known for her participation in cultural events and for teaching jarana classes, shared a message on her social networks in which she expressed her frustration and sadness at the robbery.

“I have never been afraid to start over, but this hurts me because they took more than just material from me. It took me years to buy it, I worked at the Ángel de Oro and studied at the same time. It was my means to work, to teach my classes and do my pending work.”

The young woman added that her motorcycle has particular signs, including the lack of the left mirror, a broken piece of the right side plastic and the driver’s seat that is somewhat pitted, the result of a previous accident.

“Please give me back my motorcycle, it had new objects inside, including clothes, bags and other accessories. It is my adoration, it has enormous sentimental value,” he wrote in one of his publications.

Upon learning of the robbery, local residents offered their support by providing recordings from nearby cameras to try to identify the direction the thieves took.

The Municipal Police reported that the search continues, but so far they have not been able to locate the motorcycle or arrest the alleged perpetrators.

This case adds to several motorcycle thefts recently recorded in Tizimín, of which some vehicles have been recovered and returned to their owners, while others remain missing.— WENDY UCÁN CHAN
