The City Council of Mérida prepared a special security and road operation for the festivities Virgin of Guadalupe in the San Cristóbal neighborhood, with coordinated surveillance between the Municipal Police and the SSP, in addition to a care module.

In coordination with the Ministry of Public Security, on December 11 and 12, the Municipal Police will implement permanent surveillance and patrols around the area, as well as the installation of a attention module with paramedics and security agents.
In addition, in the San Cristóbal park there is a Safe Alert button with which citizens can request help if required.

Likewise, it specifies that on Thursday, starting at 5:00 p.m.the closure of 50th Street from 67th to 71st will be ordered; from 69th Street from 46th to 52nd, and from 48th Street from 71st to 67th.
Vehicular circulation will reopen on Friday the 12th December at 10:00 p.m..
Due to this situation, citizens are recommended to take as alternative routes: from East to West, streets 61, 65 and 73; from South to North, streets 44, 52, 56 and 60; from North to South, streets 42, 46 and 54; and from West to East, streets 63, 67 or 71.
