Step-by-step guide to fill SIR form online
To fill the SIR form online, voters must visit the Election Commission Voter Services Portal or their state CEO portal. The SIR form online link will be active from the start date till the last date, such as December 4, 2025, for West Bengal. After logging in to https://voters.eci.gov.in/
voters must click on Fill Enumeration Form 2026 and select their state.
If the voter has a Voter ID card, entering the EPIC number will auto-fill their details. New voters or those not registered earlier can choose the ‘New Form’ option. Voters must then enter the EPIC Number (2025) in the designated field and click the search button.
They must choose one of the following categories: My Name exists in the Electoral Roll of the Last SIR; My Parents’ name (Father, Mother, Grandfather, Grandmother) exists in the electoral roll of the last SIR; or Neither my name nor my parents’ name exists in the electoral roll.
If available, voters can enter relative’s details. They must check pre-filled information such as name, age, gender, and address, and make corrections if needed. A recent passport-size colour photo with a white background must be uploaded, with the face clear, eyes open, and front-facing. Once submitted, voters can track the status of their SIR form on the same portal.
Documents required for SIR
- Any identity cards, pension payment order issued to a regular employee/pensioner of any central government/State government/PSU.
- Any identity cards/certificates/documents issued by the Indian government/Banks/local authorities/PCU.
- Birth certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Passport.
- Matriculation/Educational certificate issued by recognised Boards/Universities.
- Permanent resident certificate issued by the State authority.
- Forest Rights Certificate.
- OBC/ST/SC or any caste certificate.
- National Register of Citizens (wherever it exists).
- Family register prepared by State/Local authorities.
- Any land/house allotment certificate by Government.
- For Aadhaar, Commission’s directions issued vide letter No. 23/2025-ERS/Vol.II dated 9.09.2025 shall apply.
