Houston Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in what they describe as a series of “confusing” events in the Gulfton area.

Los Angeles, October 27 (LaOpinión).- Four people were wounded by gunshots – one of them fatally – in a confusing event that occurred early Sunday morning in Gulfton, Houston, Texas. The Deputy Chief of Police, Patricia Cantureported that the incident began with a report of shots fired in the Caribe Sport Barlocated at 6916 calle Rampart.
At 5:06 a.m., two people arrived on their own at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. They claimed to have been attacked inside the bar. However, when agents went to the scene, they observed “activity inside” that led them to believe that no incident had occurred. shooting over there.
Second shooting a block away
Less than an hour later, at 5:59 a.m., the Police received a new report of shots fired at 6909 Ashcroft Drive, just one block from the first point. At the scene they found two other injured people: one in critical condition and the other already dead.
The business where the second shooting took place had no visible signs and showed signs of violence: a shattered glass door and blood stains at the entrance. Relatives of the victims went to the scene in search of answers.

Confusion over the origin of the attack
Neighbors assured the channel ABC13 that the four wounded were shot in the same premises on Ashcroft Drive, which – according to them – operates as a night establishment that opens until the early hours of the morning.
The business owner, contacted by phone, confirmed that there was a shooting, but denied that his location is a nightclub. He stated that he operates as a restaurant and bar.
Deputy Chief Cantú stated that the investigation focuses on clarifying why, if all the shots occurred almost at the same time, a 911 call was not recorded for at least an hour.
“It is very important that, if anyone hears something, please call the Police. They do not have to give their name, but we need to know. Lives could be saved,” he emphasized.
Authorities continue to gather testimonies and review security camera recordings to determine the motive for the attack and whether the victims knew each other.
