Under the slogan that in Mexico “it is time for women without violence,” President Claudia Sheinbaum inaugurated a LIBRE Center in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.
Mexico City, December 13 (However).- The President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo (CSP) inaugurated today a FREE Center in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahuawhere she reaffirmed her position that Mexico is experiencing a time of women, but not only that, but a “time of women without violence and in freedom.”
In an event held the night of this December 13, the federal representative recalled that these spaces are intended to help women of the state by providing free counseling, psychological care and holding workshops of various kinds.
“That is why we call them LIBRE Centers, because it is a time for women without violence and also for freedom. It is a time for freedom and it is also a time for love, that is why these LIBRE Centers, the Cartilla, the Tejedoras and we are also doing many other things,” she commented.

Sheinbaum Pardo also highlighted that, through these spaces, more than 25 Women’s Rights Booklets have been distributed, in addition to forming the Network of Women Weavers of the Homeland.
From the Chihuahua municipality, the head of the federal Executive highlighted other programs promoted by her Government to support Mexican women, such as the Women’s Wellbeing Pension, thanks to which more than three million women between 60 and 64 years old already receive economic support.
Finally, he announced that 2026 will be declared the year of Margarita Maza, who is recognized for being the wife of Benito Juárez; However, it was also a key piece in the history of Mexico.
On the other hand, Citlali Hernández, head of the Women’s Secretariat, celebrated the opening of the LIBRE Center and indicated that it is the second in Ciudad Juárez, while there are 17 in the state of Chihuahua, whose primary objective is to address the family violence that exists in the region.
