On the occasion of the Prime Minister’s birthday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched Seva Pakhwada. CM Sharma inaugurated the “Swachhata Hi Seva” programme in Jaipur and felicitated sanitation workers. During the event, he shared personal memories of Prime Minister Modi and also recalled a touching incident through a video message.
The Chief Minister formally launched Seva Pakhwada, a 15-day statewide service drive running from 17 September, to spread awareness about government schemes and inspire citizens to embrace community service.
The Cleanliness Drive and Plantation drive began at Jaipur’s City Park where CM Sharma actively participated in the cleanliness drive by sweeping the premises and planting trees to highlight environmental protection. Citizens were administered an oath to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and make it a part of daily life.
Speaking at the event, Sharma said, “Since I took office in December 2023, our government has worked to modernise Rajasthan’s policing system and keep it free from political influence. We have enforced strict action against organised crime, mafias, and drug traffickers.”
He added, “Crimes against women have fallen by 8.8 percent, and cases under the SC/ST Acts have reduced by nearly 14 percent. We have created all-women battalions, opened women’s cells in police stations, and deployed rapid response units to make women feel safer across the state.”Sharma further highlighted the government’s technology-driven policing initiatives—cyber help desks, social media monitoring, CCTV, and digital surveillance. “In mining alone, fines worth over ₹548 crore have been imposed, thousands of vehicles seized, and offenders arrested. Our crackdown on narcotics has led to hundreds of arrests and new checkpoints along border districts,” he said.As his government approaches two years in office by year-end, he pointed out that the recently passed Rajasthan Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Bill, 2025 will also stand among the most significant achievements of his tenure. Passed by the Rajasthan Assembly on 9 September 2025, the legislation aims to curb forced and fraudulent religious conversions by prohibiting conversions through coercion, misrepresentation, undue influence, or fraudulent means, while prescribing stringent penalties. The Chief Minister also described the bill as a proactive measure to safeguard constitutional freedoms and protect vulnerable communities, reflecting his administration’s commitment to social harmony and rule of law.
During the Jaipur programme, CM Sharma also announced a new sewerage policy to improve urban sanitation. PPE kits were distributed to sanitation workers for their safety, and beneficiaries of various government schemes were honoured.
“Making cleanliness a part of daily life is a major step towards fulfilling Prime Minister Modi’s resolve,” the Chief Minister said. “Seva Pakhwada is not just a programme but an opportunity for service and dedication, in which every worker should actively participate.”
