Mexico City, October 28 (However).- The local deputies of the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico (PVEM), Harry Rodríguez Botello Fierroof Yucatany Andrés Fernández del Valle Laisequillaof Campechethey starred in a video that went viral on social networks for appearing in apparent drunk state.
In the recording, shared from his personal accounts and others linked to the party, you hear: “Here are the two fucking hands… the only two who really love their team: ‘La Maquina’ and ‘Ame’,” he says. Rodríguez Botello Fierrowhile his partner responds with laughter.
Although some media claim that other videos circulated, this was the one that provoked the most reactions among users, militants and political actors since its dissemination. Some fragments were published from an Instagram account in the name of the Yucatán Green Party, inactive since 2022, and others from their personal profiles.
Furthermore, the publication of the material coincides with the announcement by the National Executive Committee (CEN) of the PVEM about the end of Rodríguez Botello Fierro’s statutory period as state leader in Yucatán, a position he held for 15 years.
Although the statement does not directly mention the video, the replacement comes amid public questions and previous accusations of repeated absences in the local Congress.
Due to the above, the CEN reported that it will temporarily assume the functions of the state leadership and that the position will be held by a woman, in compliance with the principle of parity.
