In this sense, the Holy Father stressed that “if we really want to honor his memory, we must cease fire and engage in negotiations.”

The bishop of Rome also expressed his “sincere appreciation” for those who, “at all levels, are committing to build peace in the different regions marked by war”, in a call for unity and shared effort for peace.
