Mexico City, November 24 (However).- The President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo warned this Monday that if the Government of Peru orders the entry of authorities to the Embassy of Mexico to arrest the former Prime Minister Betssy Chavez would be violating all laws international.

Last weekend, the President Peruvian José Jeri declared that his government does not rule out the possibility of breaking into the site diplomatic Mexican to carry out the arrest of the former Peruvian official, investigated for the failed coup d’état of Pedro Castillo.

Faced with this threat, the president warned that if the Peruvian security forces forcibly entered the Mexican Embassy “they would violate all international laws.”

“The issue is whether an international irregularity is committed, a violation of sovereignty. We can have differences, but always within the framework of international law,” Sheinbaum said.

The President stressed that former Prime Minister Betssy Chávez has the right to request asylum, which is recognized by international human rights laws.
