BUCTZOTZ, Yucatán. – Early this Monday morning, a fatal accident occurred on the Buctzotz – Dzilam González highway, which claimed the life of one motorcyclist and another ended up in serious condition in a hospital.
The events occurred around five in the morning this Monday, on the Buctzotz – Dzilam González highway when the motorcycle on which two people were traveling skidded.
The driver of the motorcycle was identified as Yael. AAC, 18 years old, and his cousin apparently left Dzilam González and were heading to Buctzotz, when the tragic accident occurred.
Elements of the Buctzotz Municipal Police and also the Dzilam González Municipal Police, as well as elements of the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), arrived at the scene of the events.
The Y-51 ambulance also arrived and in it, paramedics from the SSP to assess and give first aid to the injured.
After receiving pre-hospital care, the young woman was rushed to the IMSS hospital in Motul. The paramedics also confirmed that the driver of the motorcycle did not have vital signs.
The site was cordoned off pending the arrival of the staff of the State Attorney General’s Office and the Forensic Medical Service for the corresponding procedures and the removal of the body of the young man from Buctzotz.
The tragic accident caused consternation among the residents of Buctzotz.
