The document establishes the bases of collaboration between both countries to develop joint actions in strategic areas such as the fight against illegal narcotics, the control of chemical precursors used in the manufacture of synthetic drugs, the fight against smuggling, and other fields that Mexico and France determine by common agreement.
In addition, it contemplates the exchange of information and intelligence through maritime customs coordinated by the Navy to identify structures and operational methods of criminal organizations that traffic illicit cargo in containers, under strict respect for national legislation and current international treaties, especially regarding the protection of personal data and confidentiality.

“The Charter also promotes the development of capacities and training programs through seminars, workshops, conferences and exchange of experiences between specialists from both countries, in order to strengthen institutional capacities in the face of challenges,” Semar explained in a statement. statement.
