Mexico City, November 8 (However).- A group of members of the self-proclaimed movement “Generation Z” went out to the streets of the Mexico City (CdMx) today afternoon, and although his intention was to reach National Palacethe and the protesters They ended up settling in Hemicycle to Juárezin the Alameda Centralafter they were prevented from accessing the Plinth capital.
With the help of blankets and posters, nearly a hundred people marched from the Angel of Independence about the Reforma Avenue; During the journey they displayed messages and raised slogans against the 4T Government and other political parties, in addition to demanding greater security in the country and the reduction of working hours, among other things.
According to reports about the mobilization, it was around noon when the group began its march towards the National Palace. Later, when they tried to head towards the Zócalo along Francisco I. Madero Street, elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City (SSC-CdMx) prevented them from passing.
Faced with the police cordon, the protesters chose to retreat in front of the Hemiciclo a Juárez to continue with their rally and thus avoid a confrontation with the uniformed officers.

Some images of the mobilization were spread through social networks, in which it can be seen that the number of people gathered was very small, despite the large call that has been made on various platforms, although a larger mobilization is expected to occur on November 15.
The images also show that along with the protesters there were not only young people between 13 and 29 years old, a demographic group that makes up “Generation Z”, but also clearly older people participated.
Among other things that stood out from the mobilization is the fact that some people displayed banners condemning the recent assassination of the Mayor of Uruapan, Michoacán, Carlos Manzo, and using the event as a reason to demand greater security at the national level and to attack the Government of President Claudia Sheinbaum y Morena.
“Morena said that everything would change; a lie, the same crap!” chanted those who mobilized in Mexico City.

Sheinbaum questions “Generation Z” protest
A few days ago, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo questioned the call for a protest against the Government of Mexico that is supposedly driven by “Generation Z”, made up of young people, adolescents and university students, as she said that these are accounts on social networks that have no identity and are mostly generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI), in addition to the fact that opposition parties such as the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) and the National Action Party (PAN) have taken the opportunity to join.
“This mobilization that appears on the networks draws attention: it is full of Artificial Intelligence, accounts that have no identity, particularly on TikTok, of demonstrations, pure Artificial Intelligence. Now the one who becomes visible is the PRI, some from the PAN, some from other parties, or people or accounts that are closely identified with the Mexican right and that are calling, which also have no identity,” Sheinbaum said in his morning conference this Wednesday.
“Identity, I mean that you put your name, your photograph, or you put another name, but people know who you are. That’s okay. The issue is that it draws a lot of attention that the call to this ‘Generation Z’ demonstration is a number of unidentified accounts with pure Artificial Intelligence, with images and videos constructed like this. Now it is very easy to do it. It is very accessible to be able to do it,” he added.
But, the president highlighted, “what is most striking is that the PRI takes the stand with this image. By the way, it does not have much to do with the age of the person who took the stand.”
