Who Can Claim the Colony Ridge Text Message Settlement

The settlement stems from a lawsuit alleging that Colony Ridge Development sent marketing messages advertising its Terrenos Santa Fe housing project without recipients’ consent, as per a report. The case, filed under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), covers an estimated 71,616 people nationwide, as per The Sun report.
The TCPA prohibits unwanted marketing messages and restricts calls and texts to certain hours, between 8 am and 9 pm local time, as per the report.

How Much Money Can You Claim from This Settlement

While Colony Ridge Development has not admitted any wrongdoing, it has agreed to a $1,994,123 settlement, reported The Sun. Individuals who received at least two texts promoting Terrenos Santa Fe on their personal cell phone between June 27, 2020, and May 7, 2025, may be eligible to claim compensation ranging from $1,000 to $2,000, as per the report.

How To Know You Qualify For Payout

To qualify, recipients must have had their number registered with the National Do Not Call Registry for at least 30 days before receiving the messages, as per The Sun report. They must also appear on the list of potentially affected numbers identified by the company. Eligible claimants should have already received a notice from settlement administrators, as per The Sun report.

How to Submit a Claim Online or by Mail

Claims can be filed online or by mailing the settlement postcard to: Geaslin v. Colony Ridge Settlement Administrator, PO Box 995, Milwaukee, WI 53092. What Is the Deadline to File a Claim
