Falso agente del FBI es detenido en Tijuana

US authorities reported that the man, who is originally from Kansas Cityin the state of Missourihad a valid arrest warrant for crimes against health, robbery with violence y fraud.

The suspect, who even wore a prop badge to convince people of his supposed duties as an FBI agent, responds to the name of John Rockne, 56 years old, who also used the identification to avoid searches.

After being arrested, the state authorities of Baja California verified the man’s legal situation with the United States Marshals Service, which confirmed that the person had an active warrant for three crimes.

During the arrest, the State Citizen Security Force located a pillbox with two clonazepam tablets, which were packaged as evidence. Although John Rockne did not have weapons or other criminal objects, it was established that he used an apocryphal badge to identify himself.

Likewise, it was reported that the person detained in a bar by the International Liaison Unit of the State Citizen Security Force, also known as “the gringo hunters” was wanted by the Utah authorities.

The arrest of John Rockne occurred thanks to the collaboration of the United States authorities, who confirmed the Mexican security institutions that the indicated person was wanted for crimes against health, robbery with violence and fraud.

Finally, the man was placed at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), which will carry out the procedures for deportation or delivery to the US authorities.
