On September 17, the Oscar-nominated actress took to Instagram to share the news that her 2020 film The Last Full Measure was now available on multiple streaming platforms, while also reflecting on her late co-stars and teasing her potential move into podcasting.
“THE LAST FULL MEASURE is now streaming on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and YouTube. The day before it was set to come out, Covid hit… and you know the rest,” she wrote. “Anyway, it’s out and it’s something really terrific. Not to be forgotten, among a bevy of brilliant actors in this film, three magnificent artists gave us the last great performances of their lives: Christopher Plummer, Peter Fonda, and William Hurt. What an honor.”

Based on the true story of William H. Pitsenbarger, a US Air Force Pararescueman who saved over 60 men during the Vietnam War, The Last Full Measure featured the final screen appearances of several Hollywood legends, Peter Fonda, Christopher Plummer, and William Hurt, all of whom have since passed away.Ladd ended her post on a warm, hopeful note, hinting at what might have been her next step: “(And, hey kids, what do you think of me getting into PodCasting? Thought I’d give you a taste. More to come. Stay tuned!) Love and light – Diane.” Her cause of death is currently not known.
