The Puebla Prosecutor’s Office, with the support of federal and state security forces, carried out a search inside a home located on Michoacán Street, in the Expropriación Petrolera neighborhood, in San Lucas Atoyatenco, San Martín Texmelucan, where the alleged perpetrator was captured.

Elements from the Ministry of the Navy (Semar), the Ministry of Defense (Sedena), the National Guard (GN) and the State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE) participated in this operation. For his part, César “N” was placed at the disposal of the Control Judge as probable responsible for the crimes of qualified homicide and attempted qualified homicide.

The fire at the “La Coss” bar occurred on November 18, when several people aboard motorcycles arrived at the place located in the Popular Coatepec neighborhood, in the city of Puebla, where they allegedly caused a fire in the establishment, which caused the death of seven people and injuries to five more.

That same day, through a statement, the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) reported that the Heroic State Firefighters Corps, in coordination with Municipal Civil Protection, provided immediate attention at the scene.

The elements worked to put out the fire in the bar and in a white Toyota vehicle. In these circumstances, the emergency services managed to rescue nine people alive who were treated by paramedics from the Advanced Medical Emergency System (SUMA), according to the SSP.

For its part, personnel from the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Puebla notified that the pertinent investigations were initiated in order to determine the motive for these events.
