The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the final datesheet for the Class 10 Board Examination 2026. Candidates appearing for the exam can check and download the timetable from the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in.

Exams to begin on February 17 and conclude on March 10, 2026

As per the official schedule, the Class 10 board exams will begin on February 17 with the Mathematics paper and conclude on March 10, 2026, with the French paper. The examination will be conducted in a single shift, from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm.
CBSE stated that it has, for the first time, issued the datesheets nearly 110 days before the start of the examinations. This has been made possible due to the timely submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) by schools.

Two board exams to be held in a year

Starting this year, the Class 10 board exam will be conducted twice. CBSE said the move is aimed at providing students additional opportunities to perform better and to align with the new assessment framework.

Sufficient gaps and subject combination considerations

A sufficient gap has been provided between examinations of subjects generally offered by students. The Board has also ensured that no two subjects offered by a student fall on the same date. While preparing the datesheet, CBSE avoided more than 40,000 subject combinations to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations.
