The 15th edition of Buen Fin concluded with a very favorable balance for the commerce sector in Mérida.

According to José Enrique Molina Casares, president of the local Canaco Servytur, this year stood out for the growth in sales, the safe environment and the confidence with which consumers made their purchases.

The economic benefit expected for these dates is 8.6 billion pesos. Businesses are still closing their final counts, so the final figures could vary.

“El Buen Fin turns 15 and this edition showed why it has established itself as one of the most important consumer programs in the country,” said Molina Casares.

According to him, “we had a very active weekend, with sales that grew by over 30% and with a constant flow of people who came to buy responsibly and safely.”

“The majority of transactions were carried out by card, which speaks of more conscious planning,” the leader added.

The president of Canaco pointed out that local businesses, from large chains to small and medium-sized companies, reported days of intense activity.

“The shopping centers registered thousands of visitors during the four days and this continuous influx was directly reflected in the figures. For many businesses, this weekend represented one of the strongest moments of the year,” he explained.

In the commercial culture of the country

Regarding the most demanded products, he highlighted that electronics topped the list, followed by clothing, footwear, travel and household items.

“Promotions and payment facilities boosted these categories, which were the public’s favorites.”

Molina Casares stressed that the 15th anniversary of the program generated special expectations among both businesses and consumers.

“After 15 years, Buen Fin is already part of the country’s commercial culture. Each edition adds more participating businesses and more families that take advantage of the discounts in an orderly and responsible manner,” he commented.

The leader stressed that these results confirm the importance of the program.

“El Buen Fin strengthens the local and national economy, generates real opportunities for families and supports the growth of businesses. Celebrating 15 years with this level of participation is a very positive sign for everyone,” he concluded.— Emanuel Rincón Becerra
