The Delhi Traffic Police released a travel advisory on Tuesday, announcing traffic restrictions and diversions across parts of South Delhi on 7 and 8 November in view of the upcoming Baba Bageshwar Dham Padh Yatra.

Yatra Details and Expected Turnout

The Padh Yatra will begin from Adhya Katyayani Mandir, Chhattarpur, and proceed towards Shree Banke Bihari Mandir, Vrindavan (Uttar Pradesh) at 11 am on 7 November.
Authorities expect a large gathering of more than 50,000 devotees, accompanied by a long convoy of vehicles.

Traffic Restrictions and Diversions

According to the advisory, “limits on the movement of all types of vehicles will be in force”, and traffic flow for light motor vehicles (LMVs) and private cars will be regulated or diverted on the following routes to prevent congestion:

  • Y-point, Chhattarpur to Dera More (SSN Marg) — 11 AM to 8 PM
  • CDR Chowk to Y-point, Chhattarpur, and vice versa — 8 AM to 4 PM
  • Dera More to Y-point, Chhattarpur, and vice versa — 8 AM to 8 PM
  • Zeer Khod to Dera More, and vice versa — 1 PM to 10 PM
  • Zeer Khod to Dera More, and vice versa — 7 AM to 1 PM

Parking Restrictions and Penalties

Parking will be strictly prohibited for all vehicles on the stretch from CDR Chowk to Dera Mandi and Zeer Khod between 8 AM and 10 PM on 7 November.

The advisory stated that “cars found parked on these stretches will be towed away, and their owners will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.”

Public Advisory and Alternative Routes

The Delhi Traffic Police urged citizens to avoid SSN Marg, Chhattarpur Mandir Road, and 100 Futa Road, advising them to plan their travel in advance and use alternate routes to prevent delays.

“Motorists should plan their travel in advance by using alternative routes to avoid delays,” the advisory said.

Commuters from SSN Marg heading towards Faridabad are advised not to use SSN Marg, but instead take MG Road via CDR Chowk.

Travellers from SSN Marg towards Gurugram via Zeer Khod Road should take Mandi Road at CDR Chowk.

Emergency Vehicles and Essential Services

The advisory clarified that emergency service vehicles — including Delhi Police, ambulances, fire brigade, and other essential services — will have unrestricted access to the restricted routes while performing emergency duties.

However, it also advised such vehicles to avoid the affected roads on 7 November to prevent delays or inconvenience.
