There is no deadline that is not met and Ana Luisa Abraham Habib finally had in her hands the recognition she achieved for her outstanding career during the long 2025: the Yucatecan Sports Merit Award.

The young representative of the rhythmic gymnastics discipline arrived yesterday in Mérida, after a long adventure in Sofia, Bulgaria, where she trained in a camp together with members of that country’s national team.

“Very happy to be at home, with my family, after several months away,” said the gymnast, the top medal winner in Yucatecan sport this year, with six gold medals at the National Olympics in Tlaxcala, in addition to others in international competitions.

In a special way, he shone at the Youth Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay. She was also absolute champion in the Central American Championship and in the Pan American Championship she achieved two silvers and three bronzes.

The Merit winner worked in Sofia under the orders of the renowned coach Violeta Gospodarska, in long and intense sessions, especially because she will change categories next season. But he accepted that “it is worth all the effort to be away from home for so long.”

The Sports Merit was awarded to him three weeks ago at the Government Palace, and his mother, Ana Luisa Habib Dogre, received it on his behalf. It was a commemorative medal, a symbolic check, that yesterday he finally had in his hands. And a plaque with his name will be embedded in the “Salvador Alvarado” Stadium.
