ZuZu Restaurant

One of the seasonal dishes is pumpkin flan, as well as squid ink risotto.

Mexico City, November 15 (However).- Near Parque España there is a space that seems to become a refuge to escape the bustle and chaos of the daily city and the best thing is that there is food and drinks there; it’s about the restaurant Zu⋅Zu Country cuisine in which the tradition is to serve dishes in the center to share and connect with friends.

Zu⋅Zu Country Kitchen has a terrace area in which it connects with the space, with the soil and its earth, the daylight and the environment; Although if you prefer, there is the covered part that is also very beautiful, since wood predominates.

An autumn menu

The cuisine of this place is inspired by the aromas, textures and diversity of the Mexican countryside, its menu changes with the seasons and celebrates temporality like the pumpkin cream horse accompanied by a piece of bread with which you whet your appetite for what follows.

Precisely for autumn they have special dishes that you have to try because they may not come back, one of them is the squid ink and mushroom risotto that represents the duality between sea and land.

We recommend the dry noodle with three chiles, it is a dish that tastes like home, the amount of spiciness is balanced, it is accompanied by parmesan and pesto that elevate the dish and you can add lemon. About this dish, chef Oscar Lukini said that they really try to give it all the love possible and the right flavor.

There are also duck rolls that are bathed in a tamarind sauce, the beet ravioli are a delight that is filled with goat cheese and basil, the crunchy touch is given by a little pistachio that goes on top and is pleasant in the mouth.

If what you prefer is meat, the pomodoro meatballs are a pleasant surprise, these are made with pork and beef and baked. If you prefer chicken, there is a grilled chicken dish.

Another recommendation from Mundane It is the lemon pasta with shrimp, a very good option. It is worth mentioning that the desserts stand out, the seasonal one is the pumpkin flan which, in addition to its presentation, is immediately related to the Day of the Dead celebrations that mark autumn. This flan has a key texture as it is not very soft, it seems to be on point.

When it comes to drinks, mixologist Nico Zambrano uses craft spirits, fresh herbs and natural infusions.

Like in family

“I think that all the work that my team and I represent, being behind those pans, that pressure, each diner, we have a little bit of everything, as we know, we have to try to please everyone is a little complicated, but we look for it so that they have a good taste in their mouths and make them feel like family, because that is what Zu⋅Zu is looking for, for it to be a place to share precisely,” said chef Oscar Lukini.
