CDMX. The Argentine singer Miguel Mateos announced that he will return to Mexico to celebrate the ’40th Anniversary’ of his album ‘Alone in America’ the same thing that marked a before and after for ‘El Rock en Español’.

It was the sixth studio album by Miguel Mateos/Zas in 1986 and the one that ultimately launched him into the world, as it was a watershed for ‘rock in your language’ with hits like: ‘When you’re big’, ‘It’s so easy to break a heart’, ‘My shadow on the wall’, ‘Call me if you need me’ and the emblematic ‘Solos en América’; he rose to fame in Mexico, Peru and in the US Latin market.

The Argentine singer-songwriter will perform on March 19, 2026 at the National Auditorium.

REJECT THE USE OF AI IN MUSIC CREATION

In his meeting with the media he said: “He frontally rejected the use of Artificial Intelligence in musical creation and I believe that the essence of rock lies in the live show.”

The Argentine musician pointed out that the current industry is going through a critical moment, in which technology is replacing creative processes that previously depended on human talent. In his opinion, this trend threatens the genuine spirit of rock and reduces the value of artistic work. “A lot of very plastic music is made with artificial intelligence,” he commented firmly.
