The Egyptian and Kuwaiti national teams tied 1-1 in the first round of the Arab Football Cup on Tuesday.
The Kuwaiti national team took the lead first through Fahd Al-Hajri in the 64th minute, and Mohamed Magdy “Afsha” equalized for Egypt in the 88th minute from a penalty kick.

The match witnessed another missed penalty kick by Egypt’s captain Amr Al-Soulia in the first half, and it also witnessed the expulsion of Kuwaiti goalkeeper Saud Al-Hoshan in the 83rd minute after receiving a second warning.

Mohamed Bassam saved an opportunity for Kuwait in the 81st minute with a quick rebound and a shot from Mohamed Dahhan, causing the ground to split open for the Egyptian national team goalkeeper, who blocked the opportunity for the second goal.
The Norwegian referee awarded a new penalty kick for Egypt in the 83rd minute against the Kuwaiti goalkeeper after a strong intervention on Marwan Hamdi, with a second yellow card and then a red card for Al-Hoshan, the Kuwaiti goalkeeper.
