An Argentine teacher caught the spotlight in her country and the world because of her “innovative” method of evaluating her students’ grades.

Kamla Brambia (27 years old) took pictures of the legendary Argentine star Lionel Messi as an indication of her students’ assessment in mathematics, to succeed in winning their hearts, including those who failed, according to what the Spanish newspaper “AS” reported.

Camila adopted Missy as the main hero in these evaluations, which made all her students love mathematics and also made her “the most wonderful teacher in the world.”

Camila admitted in a video clip she posted on the TikTok platform that her students at the school located on the outskirts of the capital, Buenos Aires, love her grades, explaining that “the grades do not reflect them in numbers only.”

She said, “Because of my love for football, I came up with a simple but effective idea, which is to attach each exam with a small, funny picture to relieve the tension associated with the traditional grade out of 10. Searching the Internet, I found many funny pictures of Messi. It seemed appropriate to me because he is a player that everyone admires.”

She added, “When I hand over the corrected exam papers to the students, I hear one of them say, ‘Oh no, you made Messi cry.’ Or another one says, ‘Ah, Messi is happy today,’ and everyone laughs.”

The teacher continued, “The pictures help take some distance from the result and reduce disappointment when the performance is not good. And perhaps it will motivate them a little to improve their performance next time. After all, who wants to make Messi sad?”

One sociologist praised the idea, which he considered “innovative and effective,” and that it should have been adopted a long time ago.

“The entire Argentine society is saturated with football culture to such an extent that everyday language itself is full of football vocabulary and expressions, whether in the political or familial sphere,” Sergio Levinski said.

He added, “Messi has become an icon of the country, just as Maradona was before him. Therefore, it is not surprising that he is used even in school.”
