In collaboration with the healthcare group Interim Healthcare, the university is organizing a special gala as part of the Kappa Sigma fraternity’s Military Heroes Campaign. This campaign was launched in 2007 to support and honor US veterans.
The gala, taking place Nov. 14 at Washburn University’s Bradbury Thompson Alumni Center, will feature a diverse program of food, drinks, guest speakers and a silent auction. Keegan Sharpe of Washburn Kappa Sigma Fraternity and Kacey Cattoor of Interim Healthcare emphasized the importance of this event as a natural partnership since Interim is part of the We Honor Veterans program.
Tickets for the event are available for $20 for the general public and $10 for veterans. Proceeds from the gala benefit local veterans organizations, making the event an important contribution to supporting the area’s veteran community.
