President Donald Trump was also briefed this week on possible military options in Venezuela. Some lawmakers, including Sen. Tim Kaine, expressed concerns about possible U.S. military action in Venezuela. Kaine warned that Venezuela has advanced weapons purchased from U.S. adversaries and that even speculative reports of military planning could increase the risks.
