Live monitoring of earthquakes in Mexico. SPECIAL/SSN
This Thursday, December 4, we will share with you the data about the tremors that occur in our country, according to records from the National Seismological Service (SSN), Mexican institution in charge of monitoring seismic activity in Mexico in real time.
The SSN operates a network of seismological stations distributed throughout the country that send data continuously and in real time to an analysis center to determine the date, time, magnitude, epicenter and depth of earthquakes.
THE strongest earthquake of the day
In Chiapas, a magnitude 4.1 tremor was recorded at 12:59 p.m., 100 kilometers southwest of Ciudad Hidalgo. The incident had a depth of 15 km.
Earthquake in Veracruz
The eastern state of Mexico recorded a magnitude 4 tremor at 11:22 a.m., 78 kilometers southwest of Las Choapas. The incident had a depth of 149.9 km.
Earthquake in Chiapas
The southern state of Mexico registered a magnitude 4.1 tremor at 10:49 a.m., 133 kilometers southwest of Tonalá. The incident had a depth of 11.4 km.
