The match between Tigres of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL) and Atlético de San Luis that took place as part of Matchday 17 and last of the regular phase left one of them out of the tournament.
Tigres came back to win 3-1 at the UANL University Stadium, after an early score in the 6th minute by Atlético San Luis courtesy of scoring champion João Pedro.

With the score 1-0, Guido Pizarro’s Tigres still reached the tie in the first half, when in the 30th minute, a touch by Argentine Ángel Correa on the edge of the six-yard box beat the San Luis goalkeeper.

Second half
The definition of the match came in the 56th minute of the second half, with a touch almost on the goal line by Marco Farfán that made it 2-1 for Tigres.

Finally, it was Diego Lainez who sentenced Atlético to defeat with a left-footed shot inside the area that changed the score with a 3-1 score and put the tigers at the top of the table for the moment.
With this result, the Tigres closed the regular phase of the tournament with a total of 36 points, while Atlético San Luis, led by the Spanish Guillermo Abascal, was eliminated with 16 points.
