In the last few hours it was announced that Jorge Antonio Sánchez Ortega, former agent of the defunct National Research and Security Center (CISEN)was arrested by the Attorney General’s OfficeTijuana delegation, in Baja California. The former official would have been the second shooter in the case of the murder of the then presidential candidate of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), Luis Donaldo Colosioin 1994.
According to him National Arrest Registrywas arrested by the Federal Ministerial Police on Saturday at 4:37 p.m. in Colonia Los Reyes, between Rey Carlos streets and Rey Baltazar streets, in the town of Tijuana.

In the description he is indicated as an elderly man, approximately 1.65 tall, wearing a long-sleeved checkered shirt with a gray jacket, black dress pants, brown shoes, has a mustache and gray hair. The authority that has it at its disposal is a federal judge, however, the reason is not specified.
For more than three decades, Sánchez Ortega has been identified as the alleged second shooter in the case of the murder of Luis Donaldo Colosio in 1994, in Lomas Taurinas, Tijuana, when the PRI candidate was walking among the more than four thousand present and was attacked with gunshots. Mario Aburto Martínez was captured as the person responsible for the events.
On that occasion, Sánchez Ortega was also arrested because his jacket was splattered with the presidential candidate’s blood. Additionally, the rodizonate test, which is used to identify people who have used a firearm, tested positive.
Subsequently, the then Attorney General’s Office of the Republic released him, because it was established that the weapon they had used belonged to Mario Aburto.
