Israeli attacks continued in the occupied West Bank, as several areas witnessed confrontations, incursions, and demolitions carried out by the occupation army on Monday, in addition to settler attacks targeting Palestinian homes and property.

Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that confrontations broke out between Palestinians and the occupation forces during their storming of the town of Anabta, east of Tulkarm, at a time when an Israeli foot force stormed the eastern neighborhood of the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank.

In occupied Jerusalem, the occupation forces closed the entrances to the town of Hizma, northeast of the city, after a settler bus was damaged as a result of stones being thrown near the town, according to what Palestinian media reported.

In this context, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission announced that the occupation authorities issued 5 new military orders requiring the seizure of about 73 dunums of Palestinian land in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate under the pretext of “security purposes.”

The authority added that since October 2023, the occupation has established about 30 new buffer zones around the settlements in an effort to impose permanent field conditions.

Al Jazeera’s correspondent also reported that settlers built a new settlement road between the villages of Al-Mufaqara and Sha’b Al-Butam in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

In the town of Al-Samu, south of Hebron, 5 Palestinians from one family suffered from suffocation as a result of settlers attacking their home in the Wadi Jahish area, where the settlers fired tear gas bombs and attacked the house, a private vehicle, and a sheep barn, according to the municipality of Al-Samu.

Demolition of houses

In another development, the Israeli army demolished 5 homes and agricultural rooms in the governorates of Qalqilya, Nablus, Salfit, and Jericho, under the pretext of building without a permit in areas classified as C according to the Oslo Accords.

Eyewitnesses said that occupation bulldozers stormed the town of Al-Funduq, east of Qalqilya, and demolished two two-story houses, while the demolition operations affected two other houses in Marj Ghazal, east of Jericho, a house in Furush Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, and an agricultural room in Deir Ballut, west of Salfit.

In the town of Al-Ram, north of Jerusalem, the Palestinian Red Crescent announced that a young man was injured by bullets from the occupation forces, while suffocation injuries were recorded in various areas south of Hebron as a result of settler attacks.

The occupation forces also arrested a Palestinian with disabilities during their storming of the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, where confrontations broke out during which the forces fired metal bullets and tear gas bombs.

According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers have carried out more than 7,000 attacks against Palestinians since October 2023, leading to the death of 33 Palestinians and the displacement of 33 Bedouin communities, while establishing more than 114 new settlement outposts.

The operations of the Israeli army and settlers during the same period resulted in the martyrdom of more than a thousand Palestinians and the injury of about 10,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 20,000 people, including 1,600 children.
