ECATEPEC, EDOMEX. – An auxiliary police officer of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) from Mexico City was stabbed during an attempted robbery, near the station Ecatepec, of Metro Line B.
The violent events occurred very early in the morning on Carlos Hank González Avenue, in the Valle de Anáhuac neighborhood, where two subjects surprised the officer and tried to strip him of his belongings.
The police officer resisted and struggled with the criminals, so one of them attacked him with a knife in the left arm and abdomen.
Still injured, the police officer managed to take refuge in the Metro station, where he was helped by security personnel, who took him to the first aid area, where he was treated by paramedics and transferred to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Those responsible fled in an unknown direction before the arrival of security personnel.
