The National Mining Metallurgical Union FRENTE marched within the framework of its fifteenth anniversary.


With slogans of “Enough!” and “No more working poverty!”the National Mining Metallurgical Union FOREHEAD marched in Fresnillo, Zacatecas; Caborca, Sonora; Torreón, Coahuila; and Parral, Chihuahua, within the framework of its fifteenth anniversary.

The march was headed by Carlos Pavón Campos and it was carried out simultaneously in these states.

There were thousands of miners who marched with their families to make themselves heard and demand from legislatorsespecially those from Morena, who stop approving reforms that only harm the salaries of workers.

With the great support of the workers, Pavón Campos warned that they are taking working families to a real economic crisis and real working poverty.

After the march, The FRENTE Union continued its celebrations with an assembly that brought together more than two thousand members, where Carlos Pavón spoke out again against these reformsensuring that the union will demand that the ban on overtime be eliminated, since the workers are resenting its effects.

He mentioned as an example the case of La Ciénega minewhere there is already disagreement between families. However, he explained that the limitations to generating more wages come from the legislation itself, which equated this activity with labor exploitation. However, he announced that he is already working with companies to try to find a way to recover the salary that the reforms have taken from them.

They place stone for the figure of the Virgin of Guadalupe

Within the framework of the celebrations, the leader of the FRENTE, together with the municipal president of Fresnillo, Javier Torres, and Gabriel Durán, representative of the company Fresnillo PLC, laid the first stone of what will be a monumental figure of the Virgin of Guadalupewhich is planned to be inaugurated on December 11, the date on which the FRENTE Union traditionally commemorates the Virgin.

Also the leader of the FRONT, announced the construction of the first monument that will recognize the work of mining women around the worldwill be in Caborca, Sonora, where the third Authentic Mining Women meeting will take place in the coming days.
